Artist Spotlight: Pre-Order Molly Pinto Madigan’s The Ballad of Tam Lin

It’s a good day to stock up on music from your favorite indie artists. BandCamp is waiving its fees today (Friday, March 20) and giving every penny of profit to artists. You can even get the jump on some upcoming releases, like Molly Pinto Madigan’s The Ballad of Tam Lin, which will officially drop on June 4. If you order it today, you can download two tracks in advance.

A description from Madigan:

A couple of years ago, I started writing this concept album/folk-rock opera based on my favorite traditional ballad, “Tam Lin.” The gist of the story is that our protagonist, Margaret (voice by me), goes out into the woods of Scotland, only to meet and fall in love with a mysterious young man, Tam (or “Thomas”) Lin. She then finds out that he was captured by the Queene of Faeries and is a prisoner in Faerieland. Thomas gives her instructions about how she could rescue him, but the risk is great and time is running out… Can Margaret save the man she loves before it’s too late?
