Daily Horror Film Fest: Mannequin

Every day in October, the Department of Tangents Blog & Podcast presents a different short horror film as part of the Daily Horror Film Fest. Today’s entry is Mannequin from writer/director/editor Zach McCoy-Davies.

A late night alone at the theatre. A few pills to keep you awake. Your only friend tonight is a mannequin. What could go wrong? This deserves inclusion in the DHFF if only for its inventive use of bubble wrap as an instrument of terror. It also reminds me of The Silence from Doctor Who. What’s scarier than bubble wrap and The Silence? Maybe not as scary as the 1987 film of the same name, but still pretty terrifying.
