Department of Tangents Podcast Ep4 – Nate Leavitt Interview, Andrew Mayer Comedy

Nate Leavitt spent a couple of decades playing guitar in bands like Delta Clutch, Oldjack, and Parlour Bells before he stepped out on his own with a solo album, You, Me, and the Silence, in 2014. His music is beautiful, rootsy, and heartfelt – he sometimes calls it “ghost folk.” He’s got a new EP, out April 22 under the banner of Nate Leavitt and the Elevation, which you can find in all the normal places or at www.nateleavittmusic.com We had a wide-ranging conversation about his own music, clock making, and how teaching guitar helps to navigate popular tastes.

At the end of the podcast, enjoy a track from comedian Andrew Mayer’s album Nonsense, with some helpful thoughts about LSD and falconry. Find out more about his stuff at www.mayercomedy.com
