As I said in the previous post, it’s a good day to stock up on music from your favorite indie artists. BandCamp is waiving its fees today (Friday, March 20) and giving every penny of profit to artists. And that’s not just limited to your favorite bands and musicians – BandCamp has plenty of local comedy, too. Like Dan Crohn’s excellent 2016 album, It’s Enough Already.
Crohn is looking to record a new album for the Virtual Comedy Network in May at The Rockwell in Somerville, where he recorded It’s Enough Already (although the venue was called the Davis Square Theatre at the time). That show is scheduled to feature Mike Whitman and Dan Boulger, as well.
A little sample of It’s Enough Already, from “Growing Up:”
“Growing up I had a learning disability. They give you testing accommodations – extra time on the test. Yeah, that’s great. There’s nothing worse than not knowing the answer for extra time. Sometimes they give me my own room I can go into with my no thoughts. Oh, I’m sure I’ll finish the test in there.”
