Daily Horror Film Fest: It Perfect, a Stephen King/Pitch Perfect Mashup

Every day in October, the Department of Tangents presents a different horror short as part of the Daily Horror Film Fest. Last year, we previewed the feature-length film Bubba the Redneck Werewolf from And You Films. Since then, And You has been busy making short horror parodies, and this will be the first of four from that series we’ll be posting for the DHFF.

Bubba director Brendan Jackson Rogers directed all four, and co-wrote them with Will Phillips. They’ve played the Alamo Drafthouse, FilmSlam at the Enzian Theater, Silver Scream Fest, and been on Famous Monsters of Filmland’s new TV show, and some of them will screen at Spooky Empire in Orlando later this month.

So why mashup a horror film and a musical comedy? “Because Pennywise is already a dancing clown, we thought the next logical step was for him to be a singing clown too,” says Rogers. “Also, most movie franchises can benefit from the addition of child eating clowns, Pitch Perfect included.”
