\n\u201cGreen lights and open roads and skies of endless blue\/That\u2019s the feeling I get when I\u2019m with you,\u201d Jarosz sings on \u201cGreen Lights,\u201d of hearing a friendly voice in the darkness. Jarosz has such a voice. There is something comfortable and familiar about it on this collection of folk- and bluegrass-inspired tunes, her fourth on Sugar Hill Records. It\u2019s a mellow production, arpeggiating acoustic guitars supported by resonant upright bass, strings and pedals steel rising and falling in and out of the melodies. Listen as Jarosz breathes, \u201cSome days feel so heavy, they come when I\u2019m not quite ready,\u201d the opening lines to \u201cComin\u2019 Undone.\u201d You can hear her releasing the stress she\u2019s singing about. There\u2019s a subdued luster to these songs. You can look forward to hearing them again.
