Leavitt is a great Americana songwriter. There is plenty of twang and heart on this EP, his second solo release after a couple of decades playing guitar for other people. And there are more delicate moments, too. \u201cI Can Breathe Again\u201d is a devastating track, starting spare with piano voice and building by layers to the bracing finish with Leavitt tearing into that title phrase. A stunner. Now comes new Guided By Voices, with Pollard playing all of the instruments.  Seven weeks is plenty enough time between new releases, right? Stream the album on Consequence of Sound.<br \/>\n3. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theloommusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Loom<\/a> <em>Here In the Deadlights<\/em><br \/>\nThe Loom are a patient lot. The vocals on \u201cI Am Not Young,\u201d the second single from Here In the Deadlights, don\u2019t even kick in until around 1:14, a time when many modern pop songs would be almost half over. Their sound, on first listen, has elements of The National\u2019s relaxed but insistent rock but with a more wide-open, sweeping guitar sound.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2BArArUxOQM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>HOROR ON  BLU-RAY<\/strong><br \/>\n1. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shoutfactory.com\/film\/film-horror\/the-texas-chainsaw-massacre-2-collector-s-edition\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: Collector\u2019s Edition<\/em><\/a><br \/>\nThe original still holds up as one of the most terrifying horror movies you\u2019ll ever see. The sequel, however, has a bit more comic relief, thanks in large part to Dennis Hopper\u2019s zany enthusiasm. It shows even when he\u2019s not speaking.
