It might be terrifying, it might be funny. It could be an homage classic monsters or something entirely new. Check back every morning for a new scare as we celebrate horror shorts! <\/em><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s nothing like some nice, cheery music playing somewhere in the darkness to creep up a joint. Most people will be scared enough at the prospect of losing their smartphone before the leitmotif from hell\u2019s favorite kid\u2019s show starts following our protagonist around in \u201cMisplaced,\u201d written and directed by Leo Jeorge Bautista over at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/shmekm\/?eid=ARB7f424P3RbomclJ5a1a56OdgodLpj0MedE155nHNX7ao4ERzQP5d9LyWAVJnTDihIwhEQRWsPAHtel\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shmek\u2019m<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>I was impressed by the simple special effects in this one. There are mainly two shots, and I had fun pausing and advancing the frames to check them out close-up. They work well in still frame, and that\u2019s not true for some indie shorts.
